About the housing cooperative 'Carl Zeiss' eG

The company was founded in 1954 under the name 'Arbeiterwohnungsgenossenschaft Carl Zeiss' in Jena. The first row houses were occupied as early as 1955. By 1990, a total of 7,068 apartments had been handed over. Since July 1, 1990, the housing cooperative 'Carl Zeiss' eG has been an independent company and currently manages around 6,250 apartments. Under the motto "Feeling at home - for life", it offers its members high-quality living space, comprehensive services relating to housing and various products for saving money. Industry-related investments round off the core business.
