10 Years Softline Group

The Softline Group started in spring 2010 with 6 employees at the main location Leipzig. There was a lot to do: preparing the onboarding of the future employees, ordering the hardware, setting up the office space, commissioning of service providers … The to-do list of our start-up company was extensive and challenging. An incredibly exciting and fascinating time, which we were able to celebrate properly with an office opening in June 2010 with approx. 45 employees.

In 2019, almost a year ago, we celebrated a successful go-live of SAM Pro for our customer ASML. And of course, there was a special cake to make it extra festive. In the year since, we have seen many more successes with ServiceNow. More customers are reaping the benefits of SAM with SAM Pro, ....

For the last 10 years, we have worked very closely with Flexera to help our customers to achieve Compliance, Control and Cost savings for their IT. A decade where we have proven to be more than a trusted implementation partner, we even are a year-over-year award winning one. This year, Softline Group was honoured with the Flexera EMEA Partner Award for the seventh year in a row!

From the first assignment in June 2010, a workshop on migration to Office, to today ten years and numerous successful projects have passed. The enthusiasm of our long-time companions is our greatest success and our incentive every day anew.

Sharing our knowledge with the market is the key element of all activities we do. Naturally, organising events and being part of market specific events is one of the ways to share our expertise. Over the last decade we have set up and participated in well over 200 events!

Our knowledge and expertise are our USP, what we value most are our customers. A special lookback to the rare occasions we communicated about customers.

Back in the day, we introduced the House of SAM^®: our tried and tested approach, based on the ISO/IEC 19770-1:2012 standard for SAM. Translating the numerous pages and pages of the ISO standard to a model that organisations could actually follow whilst taking their steps to increase their SAM maturity level, was the birth of the »Softline Solutions’ House of«, our registered trademark of the visualisation of IT maturity models.

With the update of the »old« SAM ISO standard to the ISO/IEC 19770-1:2017 standard for ITAM, we welcomed the Softline Solutions’ House of ITAM^®.

Security has been one of the top issues in the IT market for years. As IT infrastructures have become more and more complex, all areas of life have become increasingly digitalized, the number of cybercrimes has risen and, as a result, laws have become stricter, we have continually sharpened our portfolio and adapted it to meet these new challenges.

»Softline in the Snow« has become an established event which is now a fixed item of the Softline event calendar. Together with colleagues from all subsidiaries we spend an unforgettable weekend in the snow at the beginning of each year. This year we were on skis and sledges already for the sixth time.

The Softline Group has taken great steps over the years. Opening new subsidiaries in existing Softline countries, as well as entering new markets to underline the growth on European level, to continuing the further development of the Softline Group’s multi tool strategy by expending the partner network.

Our partner Snow Software is an important part of our ten-year company history. For more than four years, we have been optimizing the SAM maturity of our customers, bringing companies closer to their primary goals - compliance, control and cost savings.

Our partner ServiceNow plays an important role in our ten-year company history. A strong partnership were we truly complement each other’s strengths.

We have taken big steps, entered new markets, expanded our growth on a European level and continuously expanded our strong partner network. And that was just the beginning!
